Why It Works
The cleanser your skin was designed for.
Keeps Natural Glycerin
Commercial soap manufacturers extract glycerin for more profitable products, leaving behind a harsh, drying bar. We retain 100% of the naturally produced glycerin — that’s what makes this soap feel different.
Skin-Compatible Fats
Tallow soap leaves behind a fine layer of fatty acids biocompatible with your skin barrier — reinforcing it after washing rather than stripping it. Dry skin types often see significant improvement within days.
Halal & Zabiha
Saponified from grass-fed, zabiha-slaughtered beef tallow. Certified by an independent halal authority. No synthetic surfactants, no palm oil, no pork derivatives.
Zero Nasties
No SLS, SLES, or synthetic surfactants. No parabens, no artificial fragrance, no preservatives. Just saponified tallow and water — the oldest soap formula that exists.
What’s Inside
Three ingredients. That’s the whole list.
Grass-Fed Beef Tallow
The star ingredient. Tallow from pasture-raised, zabiha cattle provides the fatty acids — stearic, oleic, palmitic — that form the backbone of the soap and deliver its skin-nourishing properties. A near-perfect match for human sebum composition.
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)
The agent that triggers saponification — the chemical reaction that converts fat into soap. Not a single molecule of sodium hydroxide remains in the finished product; it is entirely consumed in the reaction. This is standard chemistry, not a harsh ingredient in the final bar.
Aqua
Water used to dissolve the lye and facilitate the saponification reaction. Fully incorporated into the soap structure.
Full INCI ingredient list: Sodium Tallowate, Aqua. Plus naturally occurring glycerin retained in the bar.
Tallow Soap vs. Everything Else
Most soaps strip your skin. This one nourishes it.
What Customers Say
The difference you feel from day one.
“I have eczema and I’ve been through every gentle soap on the market. This is the only one that doesn’t trigger a flare. My skin actually feels moisturised after the shower for the first time in years.”
Ibrahim A. — Brisbane“My husband convinced me to try this. I was sceptical — it's just soap, right? Wrong. The difference from the first use was unmistakable. My skin doesn’t feel tight at all after washing. Switched the whole family.”
Hana D. — Sydney“As a Muslim, I never gave much thought to soap. Then I started paying attention to ingredients and realised most soaps have alcohol derivatives or unclear animal sources. This was a relief — verified zabiha, clean ingredients, amazing skin.”
Yusuf M. — PerthCommon Questions
Tallow soap — the basics.
Does it lather well?
Yes, though the lather from tallow soap is different from commercial soaps. It is dense and creamy rather than big and airy (which is usually a sign of synthetic foaming agents). The lather feels silky on the skin. Some people find it takes a day or two to get used to after years of commercial soap, but most prefer it quickly.
Does it have a smell?
Our unscented tallow soap has a very neutral, mild scent — most people describe it as almost odourless or with a faint clean soap smell. It is not the "beef" smell some people expect. The rendering and saponification process removes any animal odour entirely.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes. Many customers use it as their facial cleanser. The glycerin-rich formula is gentle enough for the face and will not strip your moisture barrier the way gel cleansers do. Follow with our tallow balm while skin is slightly damp for best results.
How do I store it to make it last longer?
Keep the bar in a soap dish that drains well — don't leave it sitting in pooled water between uses. A well-drained bar can last 4–6 weeks for full body use. The glycerin content means it will absorb water and become soft if left wet, so letting it dry between uses is important.
