Grass-Fed Beef Tallow
The base. Fatty acid profile nearly identical to human sebum — absorbs completely, deeply moisturises, and carries the zinc oxide evenly across the skin.
Non-Nano Zinc Oxide (20%)
The active ingredient. Non-nano particles sit on top of the skin (not absorbed into the bloodstream), reflecting and scattering UVA + UVB rays. Safe for the whole family.
Beeswax
Creates a breathable protective layer that holds the zinc evenly in suspension and gives the formula its smooth, easy-to-apply texture.
Nothing Else
No chemical UV filters. No alcohol. No synthetic preservatives. No seed oils. No filler water. Every ingredient earns its place.
Full ingredient list: Tallow (Bos Taurus), Zinc Oxide (non-nano), Cera Alba (Beeswax). That is it.
How to Use
Apply. Rub in. Go.
Start with clean skin
Apply to dry or slightly damp skin. Works as a standalone moisturiser + SPF in one step — no need to layer over a separate moisturiser.
Use a small amount
A pea-sized amount covers the full face. A small fingertip amount covers each arm. Start small — you can always add more. Too much can make it harder to blend.
Blend fully before going outside
Rub into the skin using circular motions until no white residue is visible. Allow 15 minutes before prolonged sun exposure for the zinc to fully set.
Reapply every 2 hours in direct sun
Like all sunscreens, reapply every 2 hours when sweating or in direct sunlight. After swimming, pat dry and reapply immediately.

Will it leave a white cast?
There is a slight temporary white cast while you rub it in, which is normal for mineral zinc oxide sunscreens. It clears fully once fully blended into the skin. On darker skin tones, we recommend working it in thoroughly with circular motions and allowing 2–3 minutes before heading outside. The tallow base helps it blend more easily than powder-based mineral sunscreens.
Is it water resistant?
The beeswax base provides reasonable water resistance for everyday activities (sweating, washing hands). For swimming or intense water activities, reapply immediately after drying off. This is not classified as a water-resistant sunscreen for purposes of sustained water immersion.
Can I use this on my face daily?
Yes — and many of our customers use it as their only morning skincare step. The tallow base means you're moisturising and protecting in one application. If you have oily skin, start with a very small amount to find the right balance for your skin type.
Why non-nano zinc oxide specifically?
Nano zinc oxide particles are small enough to be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream — a concern for long-term health that is still being studied. Non-nano particles (ours are 100+ nanometres) sit on the skin's surface and physically block UV rays without entering the body. This is the safer choice, especially for children and pregnant women.
Is it safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Our sunscreen avoids all the chemical UV filters (oxybenzone, octinoxate, avobenzone) that are commonly flagged as a concern during pregnancy. Non-nano zinc oxide is considered safe during pregnancy by most dermatologists. Always consult your healthcare provider for personal medical advice.
